Hi, I'm Miranda, Founder of Marketing for Mental Health Practitioners.

In my early 20s, I was torn between two passions: marketing and psychology. I chose marketing but also began training as a volunteer accredited phone counsellor with Lifeline. It didn’t take long for everything to click into place. I realised the immense power of marketing to educate, break down stigmas, and create meaningful change in the world. That moment set me on a mission to use marketing to help people and change lives.

After finishing my studies, I found my place working in healthcare marketing. I loved helping healthcare providers grow their businesses so they could reach more people who needed support.

But over time, I noticed a major gap.

Whether you’re a large national healthcare provider or a solo therapist just starting out, marketing is essential. It ensures that prospective patients/clients know who you are, what you do, and how to find you. However, high quality marketing support available to large healthcare organisations is often inaccessible to smaller providers - reputable marketing agencies are expensive and it’s not realistic to employ a marketing specialist.

I started Marketing for Mental Health Practitioners to bridge this gap. My goal was to take the knowledge and experience I’d gained working with healthcare providers, along with the latest evidence-based marketing and branding strategies, and make high quality marketing accessible to small therapy practices and solo therapists.

As a solo therapist, the marketing required to fill your caseload isn’t that complicated—you just need someone to show you what to do and how to do it. That’s what I’m here for. My approach is designed to equip you with the resources, skills and tools you need to create a thriving practice. My goal is to take the stress out of marketing, so you can focus on what you love—helping people, improving their mental health, and changing their lives.
